Privacy & Security Overview
A plain-language map of how NestPatrol handles your family’s information, with links to the full policies. Five minutes here answers most privacy questions.
The design principle
Analysis happens on your child’s phone wherever possible. Message scanning for safety signals runs on the device; the page-by-page content of their browsing is not routed through our servers, because web filtering happens on the phone using category rules. What reaches our servers is what you need to see on your dashboard: alerts, usage records, device status, location if enabled, the contact list if enabled, and the requests and messages your child sends you.
What lives where
| Information | Where it is processed | You control it by |
|---|---|---|
| Message safety scanning | On the child’s phone | Plan features and enrollment |
| Web filtering | On the child’s phone | Rules settings; not routed through our servers |
| Safety alerts and context | Our servers, shown on your dashboard | Reviewing, resolving, deleting data |
| Location and geofences | Our servers, when enabled | Optional; requires child-device permission |
| Contact list and call protection | Our servers, when enabled | Optional permission on the child’s phone |
| Screenshots (Premium/Premium Plus) | Our servers, permission-gated | Separate consent per child, withdrawable |
| Payment card details | Stripe. We never see card numbers | Your Stripe-hosted billing page |
Security, briefly
Connections use TLS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Administrative access to our systems is role-based and audit-logged, and sensitive evidence requires specific permission grants even for our own staff. Security researchers can report issues through Responsible Disclosure.
Your rights, briefly
Export your family’s data, correct it, or delete the account and its data from Privacy & Security in the dashboard, or by emailing support@nestpatrol.com from your account address. Deletion instructions are on the account deletion page. Children’s data is handled under the Children’s Privacy Notice, and health-adjacent safety signals under the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
